The department is designed for examination and treatment of children and adolescents with pathology of the cardiovascular system (arterial hypertension, myocardial diseases, congenital heart defects, cardiomyopathy, rhythm and conduction disorders and rheumatic diseases and etc.), diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and hepatobiliary system (malabsorption syndrome, cystic fibrosis, inflammatory bowel diseases, hereditary and metabolic liver diseases, severe forms of malabsorption, chronic hepatitis of non-infectious etiology), mucopolysaccharidosis, primary immunodeficiency and etc

 The complex of diagnostic measures consists of modern methods of diagnosis and treatment, including the use of modern equipment (CT of the chest, CT of joints, abdominal organs, MRI, CT angiography, ultrasound of internal organs, ultrasound dopplerography of vessels, electromyography, ECG, daily monitoring of ECG and blood pressure), a complex of biochemical, serological, microbiological, immunological, bacteriological studies, morphological examination of liver tissue, biopsy of the small intestine mucosa, conducting a biocard test. Complex therapy is aimed at correcting protein and vitamin deficiencies, violations of the water-electrolyte balance, intestinal peristalsis, selection of elimination diet, enzyme replacement therapy in children diagnosed with mucopolysaccharidosis types I, II, VI. In the treatment of rheumatic diseases, modern treatment standards are used, including intravenous immunoglobulins, local therapy with glucocorticoids; pulse therapy with steroid and cytostatic drugs in combination with plasmapheresis, treatment with biological medicines. Patients with functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system are given massages, physical therapy, physiotherapy procedures (drug electrophoresis, treatment with a bioptron lamp, etc.).
