The Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Children’s Surgery performs a great coordination activity, supervising many branches of pediatrics. Today at the Scientific Center for Pediatrics and Children’s Surgery on the implementation of the Roadmap for Improving Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Care in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2019-2021, a workshop was held with regional pediatric oncologists / hematologists.

During the meeting, questions of providing children with malignant neoplasms with medicines for maintenance therapy, coagulation factors for hemophilia patients, issues of dynamic observation of children with various oncological and hematological diseases in the regions, the results of monitoring the work of oncologists / hematologists in medical institutions were discussed.

This is not the first year that the SCPCS has been conducting on-site training cycles for primary care physicians on issues of early diagnosis of oncological and hematological diseases. The result of this work was an increase in the percentage of detected malignant neoplasms in stages I-II from 29% to 40%. However, to further improve this indicator and more effective training, it is necessary to reach the largest possible audience of listeners. In this regard, one of the issues of today's meeting was the training of oncologists / hematologists of the regions as trainers for the educational modules "Early diagnosis of oncological and hematological diseases in children." Thereby, the process of training general practitioners in on-alert issues will be strengthened.

As part of the meeting, a training seminar was held on the issues of modern diagnosis and treatment of hemophilia in children with the participation of a doctor of medical sciences, a hematologist at the Morozov children's city clinical hospital in Moscow, Petrov I.Y.
