On 4th of December, in Scientific Center of Pediatrics the “Smart School-2” opened smart class, in which patients will be trained without breaking away from their inpatient treatment in SCPCS. One of the main sponsors is the Public Foundation “Help Today”.
An innovative class with an interactive teaching method is intended for children with cancer / hematological and rare diseases being treated at the Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Children’s Surgery.
The goal of the project to give free general educational training and extra-curricular activities, more than 100 patients of school and preschool age with oncological, hematological, rare diseases (mucopolysaccharidosis, phenylketonuria, Gaucher disease, juvenile arthritis, Pompe disease) and others patients in SCPCS.
The smart-class was opened by Riza Boranbaeva the Chairman of Pediatrics Center and patient’s parent.
“Today is a very significant day for us. The opening of this class will contribute to the speedy children recovery and the development of their intellectual abilities already being healthy ”- R. Boranbaeva said at the opening ceremony.
“Opening the class will provide psychological assistance and new opportunities for children undergoing rehabilitation or treatment. With the help of modern technologies, they will be able to develop intellectual and creative abilities, not lagging behind their peers. We want to note that certified trainers, teachers and volunteers have been trained for effective communication with patients and their parents, ”said Elmira Aliyeva, director of Public Foundation “Help Today”.
During the event, for the health and development of children, Madina Kunanbaeva, on behalf of all parents, thanked the organizers for their noble cause.
In the innovative of smart-class there are three classrooms, which present a creative complex, equipped with individual art objects and modern equipment. In the innovative classroom, children will be able to more effectively study not only general education subjects - mathematics, history, English, etc., but also develop creatively. Children will be given free classes in robotics and light engineering, fine arts and art therapy, needlework, chess and drafts. Also, in this class will be held therapy sessions using music and fairy tales. The classroom is equipped with environmentally friendly furniture, desks, an interactive whiteboard and tablets. As part of the project, a hospital clown will visit children.
The event ended with a festive concert.
