Master Class on PET/CT in the Diagnosis of Pediatric Oncological Diseases Held at NCPPS

On September 19, a master class titled "PET/CT in the Diagnosis of Oncological Diseases in Children" was held at the National Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery in hybrid format.

The master class was attended by pediatric oncologists, hematologists, radiologists, X-ray technicians, and radiology diagnostic physicians from NCPPS and the "UMC" Corporate Fund, as well as regional pediatric oncologists/hematologists from all regions of Kazakhstan.

The master class covered the latest advances in oncology and nuclear medicine in Kazakhstan, and participants also familiarized themselves with modern methods of diagnosing and treating oncological diseases. Considerable attention was given to issues of early diagnosis of oncological diseases in children and differential diagnosis of various pediatric conditions.

The speakers were Yu.N. Likar, MD, Professor and Head of the Center for Positron Emission Tomography and Radionuclide Diagnostics at the D. Rogachev National Medical Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology, and Ye.Zh. Kutzhan, radiologist at the Center for Nuclear Medicine, who also shared interesting clinical cases.
