A number of events were held at the National Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery for children battling cancer in honor of International Children's Day. This year's celebration was held under the slogan: "All Our Love for the Children!"

On May 26, starting at 8:00 AM, the Clinical Diagnostic Department opened its doors for an Open House Day, offering free consultations to all young patients. The best specialists in their fields, leading experts, and researchers were brought in to provide consultations. In total, assistance was provided to more than 70 children.

Given that our Center admits the most severe patients from various regions of Kazakhstan, festive events are held annually ahead of June 1 to provide social and psychological support to patients and the parents caring for them. The staff prepares carefully each year, striving to make the events interesting, educational, fun, and memorable.

On May 27, starting at 10:00 AM, the show program "A Journey with Moana" began (with support from the "Amila" Foundation for Cancer Patient Assistance), with entertainers from the "More Show" and "Mir Show" event agencies (supported by the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange), among others, entertaining children in all departments of the Center — especially in the Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Center, where patients were unable to attend the main event in person. In total, more than 5 entertainment agencies took part in organizing the festivities, and we extend our deepest gratitude for their annual charitable support in holding these events.

The first surprise for the children was a visit from a mobile planetarium, supported by the "Meta_planetarium" team. Children and parents were immersed in the world of space, which brought them great delight!

At the same time, workshops on Lego building, robotics, handicrafts, and drawing were set up for the children. Instructors from our smart classrooms, with the support of the "Help Today" Foundation, have been teaching patients for several years now, and it should be noted that the children build remarkably complex structures.

This year, staff from the Bostandyk District Emergency Situations Department joined in supporting the children's celebration. A "Firefighter Secrets" master class was held in a playful, interactive format. The Snow Leopard, the mascot of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Emergency Situations, prepared quizzes and crossword puzzles for our patients, and of course, gifts for the winners.

Another surprise for our patients will be a visit to the "Museum of Military Glory" in Almaty and the Memorial of Glory — Panfilov's 28 Guardsmen Park — on May 30. This event will be held with the support of the National Military-Patriotic Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, represented by A.B. Baikadamova. On this day, the dream of our boys will come true, as a tour of the "Kairat" Football Club Academy is planned, offering a chance to learn about the workings of this unique academy and meet with the football players (with the support of the "MIG Qazaqstan" Center for Nuclear Medicine, represented by General Director R.Z. Boranbayeva).

Volunteers and sponsors provided gifts for the play rooms, as well as a supply of diapers, personal hygiene products, and much more for the young patients ("MIG Qazaqstan," the "Amila" Foundation for Cancer Patient Assistance, the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, "Coca-Cola," and others).

The staff of the National Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery expresses their deep respect and gratitude to the volunteers, sponsors, and caring citizens who support our young patients. Through our combined efforts, we are glad to see our children happy, smiling, and joyful — an important factor contributing to their speedy recovery from serious illness!
