International Conference in Astana Honors NCPPS for Outstanding Contribution to Children's Healthcare

On April 22, an international conference titled "Health and Well-being of Every Child: Modern Strategies for Child Health Protection" was held in Astana, bringing together representatives of the healthcare system, international organizations, and the expert community.

As part of the event, a ceremonial recognition of partnerships in the interest of children's and adolescents' health took place.

The National Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery was honored with the prestigious award "For Outstanding Contribution to Strengthening the Child Healthcare System — in Clinical Practice, Science, and Workforce Training."

The award was presented to Abai Kusainov, Chairman of the NCPPS Management Board, by Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, in recognition of his significant contribution to the development of pediatric services and the protection of children's health in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This recognition reflects NCPPS's systematic work in advancing modern medicine, introducing innovative approaches, and improving the quality of medical care for children.

The conference served as an important international platform for exchanging experience and strengthening cooperation between countries in the field of child health protection.
