June 1 - The International Children's Day is celebrated annually since 1950, the holiday was founded in November 1949 in Paris, by the decision of the Congress of the International Democratic Women's Federation.

The action is aimed at protecting the right of newly born children to life, as well as attracting the attention of the population to the problems of preserving and strengthening the health of the child population.

In the clinical and diagnostic department of the Scientific Center for Pediatrics and Children's Surgery, a charity event was held - "Open Day", dedicated to the Children's Day. On this day, the children who applied to the diagnostic department were examined free of charge by the specialists of the center:

- Pediatrician - 12 children;

- Neuropathologist 30 children;

- nephrologist 8 children;

- pulmonologist - 5 children;

- Hematologist - 5 children;

- urologist - 8 children;

- Surgeon - 5 children;

- Oncologist - 6 children;

- Gastroenterologist - 9 children;

- a cardiologist of 10 children.

Parents of children received answers from specialists on various questions about children's health.
