On June 23, 2018, within the framework of the development of medical tourism, a delegation from the Kyrgyz Republic visited the Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery in Almaty, consisting of representatives of medical organizations, heads of tour operators and agencies in the number of 17 people.
During the meeting, the delegation was acquainted with the history of the center, the goal and the main tasks, the bed fund, the staff potential, the range of medical services provided, the medical equipment and achievements.
During the excursion of the clinic, there were represented departments as oncohematology and oncology, the dilution of medicines, the department of radiation diagnostics (angiography, CT scan, Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)), a clinical diagnostic laboratory, a laboratory of apheresis and stem cells with a department of clinical transfusiology. There were presented chambers, playrooms, smart-class where children do activities, play, the children's playgrounds on the territory of the center.
Within the framework of further cooperation and development of medical tourism, there were discussed the issues of diagnostics and treatment of children with oncopathology, transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells in the treatment of children with severe oncological and hematological diseases from the Kyrgyz Republic on the basis of Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery..Z
The delegation highly appreciated the development of the Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery (SCPPS), consider the treatment of such children more acceptable in Kazakhstan - it is geographically closer location in particular in Almaty, the time for transportation of the patient is 2 hours by car, the language of communication - there is no need for an interpreter, the latest treatment technologies, highly qualified medical staff, lack of queues, immediate access, an individual approach to each patient, pricing policy, the possibility of post-hospital rehabilitation in the partner sanatorium of the SCPPS.
The delegation also plans to visit other public and private medical organizations in Almaty.
