Department of an inpatient medical institution, intended for the reception of patients and carrying out primary diagnostics, first aid, isolation, sanitization, registration and distribution of patients in departments.

The reception department of JSC " Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery " is located on the 1st floor of the main medical building and serves 12 medical departments.

The department has a reception desk, an examination room, an intensive care unit, 2 doctors' reception rooms, a sanitary room, and a box for isolating a patient with a suspected infectious disease. The rest of the premises are ancillary.

The main functions of the emergency room are:

• Reception and registration of patients.
• Medical examination of patients.
• Providing emergency medical care.
• Determination of a hospital department for hospitalization of patients.
• Sanitary and hygienic treatment of patients.
• Preparation of relevant medical documentation.
• Transportation of patients to the department.

Hospitalization in a planned manner is carried out through the electronic portal "Hospitalization Bureau".

Hospitalization of children under 5 years of age is allowed with one of the parents (according to the Code of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chapter 12, article 78, paragraph 3).

Children from 0 to 18 years of age with oncological and hematological diseases can be hospitalized with their parents for children’s care.
