On March 2, 2018, a scientific-practical conference for graduates and residents on the topic “Actual issues of modern pediatrics and pediatric surgery” will be held at the Scientific Center for Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Scientific Center for Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery, the public association “Union of Pediatricians” of Kazakhstan, together with the Department of Pediatric Diseases of the Kazakh National Medical University named after S. Asfendiyarov.

The conference will be held for graduate students, residents and PhD students of all pediatric profiles. The main issues discussed at the conference will be organizational aspects of providing medical care for children with various diseases, improving the quality, continuity and effectiveness of medical care for children at the primary health care level, modern methods of diagnosing and treating diseases in children, rehabilitation, psychological and medico-social adaptation of children with various somatic diseases and surgical pathologies. There will also be a presentation of rare and interesting clinical cases from pediatric practice, the improvement and treatment of rare diseases in children. In the rubric of topical issues of pediatric surgery, issues of diagnosis and treatment of surgical diseases will be considered.

Within the framework of the conference, it is planned to present oral and poster reports of young scientists, pediatricians studying in residency, Master and PhD.

Scientific papers presented at the conference will be awarded in the following categories:

"The best report";

"The Best Article";

"The best poster report."

          The authors of the best papers will be awarded with prizes, memorable gifts and diplomas.

          The conference materials will be published in a special issue of the scientific journal "Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery".
