Employees of the JSC NCPD, Head of the Department of Cardiac Surgery, Interventional Cardiology and Angiosurgery A.B. Berdibekov and Head of Cardiac Resuscitation A.Sh. Nalibaev completed an on-the-job internship at one of the leading cardiac centers “Ospedale del Cuore. Fondazione Toscana Gabriele Monasterio" (Italy, Massa) from 12/15/2023 to 12/28/2024.

The internship took place under the guidance of the director of the department of congenital heart defects in children and adults, Vitaly Anatolyevich Pak. Earlier in 2014 and 2015, specialists from the Italian Heart Center came with a master class to JSC NCPD, where they performed operations on children with congenital heart defects and trained our specialists. This time, our specialists had the opportunity to visit the Italian clinic.

“Our doctors, under the guidance of experienced specialists, had the opportunity to personally become familiar with the organization of cardiac surgery services and become familiar with advanced technologies for visualizing the heart and coronary vessels. We have gained extensive experience in the management and diagnosis of children with congenital heart disease, treatment tactics, surgical techniques and correction of patient care in the pre- and postoperative periods. The internship was fruitful, the specialists of the NCPD will continue to have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and experience to provide high-quality, highly specialized cardiac surgical care to our young patients,” said Almas Berdibekov.
