Specialists of the Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery took part in the I International Forum: "Days of Pediatric Surgery in Azerbaijan", organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which was held in Baku (Azerbaijan) from May 17 to 19.

A whole delegation was represented from the Republic of Kazakhstan. The delegation of pediatric surgeons of Kazakhstan was represented by Chairman of the Board of JSC Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery Abai Kusainov.

The forum was attended by over 500 participants from 10 countries: Turkey, Iraq, Georgia, Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan.

In two days 168 reports on 13 areas of pediatric surgery were listened to. A report from the Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery was made by: endoscopist-surgeon Nyshanbek Shilanbayev, anesthesiologist Aliya Nurgalieva and pediatric surgeon Shalkar Kasenov.

At the forum, Abai Zkrievich Kusainov was the chairman of the section "Surgery of the esophagus". During the forum, A.Z.Kusainov participated in round tables with the directors of institutes and clinics of the participating countries, where questions were considered about the possibility and prospects for further cooperation in both practical healthcare and scientific and educational areas.

Pediatric surgeons of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented 12 reports on all areas of pediatric surgery, which were highly appreciated.

On May 19, a master class was held at the Children's Surgical Clinic of the Azerbaijan Medical University with the participation of leading specialists in endoscopic surgery.
