Master Class on Autoinflammatory Diseases Held at NCPPS

On August 26–27, a master class on "Autoinflammatory Diseases" was held at the National Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery.

The master class was conducted by a leading specialist from Russia: Anna Leonidovna Kozlova, MD, PhD, Head of the Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Autoinflammatory Diseases at Ilyinskaya Hospital, immunologist, rheumatologist, pediatrician, top-category physician, Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics and Healthcare Organization at the D. Rogachev National Medical Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology, and Associate Professor of the Department of Childhood Diseases at the M.F. Vladimirsky Moscow Regional Research Clinical Institute.

During the master class, Anna Leonidovna shared her experience in diagnosing and treating various forms of autoinflammatory diseases: inflammasomopathies, or IL-1-dependent diseases, familial Mediterranean fever, cryopyrin-associated periodic syndrome, TNF receptor-associated periodic syndrome, mevalonate kinase deficiency syndrome, monogenic forms of autoinflammatory diseases, DADA2 syndrome, PSTPIP1-associated autoinflammatory syndrome, multifactorial autoinflammatory diseases, Marshall syndrome, chronic nonbacterial osteomyelitis, and undifferentiated autoinflammatory syndrome.

More than 30 physicians from all regions of Kazakhstan took part in the two-day training aimed at exchanging experience: pediatricians, pulmonologists, dietitians, gastroenterologists, rheumatologists, as well as immunologists and residents of NCPPS.

The purpose of the event was to train physicians in identifying autoinflammatory diseases and conducting differential diagnosis and treatment.

The master class was held as part of the implementation of the comprehensive plan for scientific-educational and organizational-methodological work.

As part of the master class, the specialist also held consultations with children.
