The National Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery, as part of the Days of Kazakhstani Medicine held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), signed a memorandum of cooperation with three national centers of the Republic of Uzbekistan: the National Children's Medical Center, the Scientific and Practical Center of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Clinical Immunology, and the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Center of Pediatrics.

The Days of Kazakhstani Medicine are currently taking place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. From October 13 to 17, more than 100 delegates from Kazakhstan, led by Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akmaral Alnazarova, visited the neighboring republic. The delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, leading medical centers, state and private healthcare organizations, universities, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and the medical community.

The Days of Kazakhstani Medicine in Uzbekistan is an event aimed at strengthening cooperation between the healthcare systems of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, providing an opportunity to expand interaction between medical organizations, and exchange experience, knowledge, innovations, and technologies for the benefit of ensuring accessible, quality medical care for the citizens of both republics.

The signing of the memorandum provides for expanded cooperation between the two countries on issues of medical tourism development, improving the quality of medical care for patients, and exchanging experience in medical education for training and professional development of personnel, among other areas.

On October 15, Lyazat Manzhuova, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Scientific and Innovative Activities and Chief Freelance Pediatric Oncologist and Hematologist of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited several centers.

At a meeting with Umarov B.Ya., Director of the National Children's Medical Center, and Sabirov D.R., Deputy Director for Science and Education, issues of cooperation were discussed regarding professional development based at both centers, joint research projects, and clinical trials.

At the Scientific and Practical Center of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Clinical Immunology, a round table was held with the participation of the Center's leadership and pediatric oncologists and hematologists, on further development of the International Educational Hub for Pediatric Oncology and Hematology. Given the differing systems of medical personnel training in the two countries, it was proposed to develop cooperation at the postgraduate training level. Joint educational programs were identified, the possibility of joint clinical trials and joint clinical protocols was discussed, and information was exchanged regarding upcoming scientific and practical events in both countries.

As part of the Days of Kazakhstani Medicine, a memorandum of cooperation was also signed with Tashkent State Medical University.

At a meeting with Israilov Zh.D., Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, and Professor Akhmedova D.I., Head of the Department of Hospital Pediatrics, issues were discussed regarding medical internships for senior-year TashSMU students at NCPPS JSC, joint postgraduate educational programs, joint research projects, and participation in training scientific personnel. Key areas and specialties for joint activities were identified.

At the international forum "Kazakhstan – Uzbekistan: Cooperation in Healthcare, Technology and Human Resources," Lyazat Manzhuova, Chief Freelance Pediatric Oncologist and Hematologist of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, delivered a presentation and exchanged memorandums with the Center for Pediatric Oncology and the National Children's Medical Center.

As part of the Days of Kazakhstani Medicine in Uzbekistan, leading NCPPS specialists conducted field consultations and held master classes in the Uzbek cities of Tashkent and Nukus.

On October 15, in Tashkent, at the Scientific and Practical Center of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Clinical Immunology, NCPPS clinical transfusiologist Kuanysh Umbetov held two master classes on the topics: "The Transfusiology Service in a Pediatric Oncohematology Hospital: Processing of Stem Cell Collection for Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation," as well as on therapeutic plasmapheresis in children with oncohematological diseases.

From October 13–15, in Nukus, neonatal surgeon and Head of the Neonatology and Newborn Surgery Department at NCPPS, Gulmira Tolepbekovna Kaukenbayeva, held a training master class at the Republican Children's Multidisciplinary Center.

The two-day master class was attended by 28 specialists from Uzbekistan: neonatologists, pediatric surgeons, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, and heads of departments of the children's center.
