Round Table on Modern Trends in Medical Science Held at NCPPS for Kazakhstan's Science Day

On April 14, a round table titled "Modern Trends in Medical Science," dedicated to Kazakhstan's Science Day, was held at NCPPS.

The round table brought together residents, intern doctors, master's and doctoral students from various specialties representing different national centers and medical universities across the country. The event was held in a hybrid format, allowing young specialists from other cities to take part. Opening remarks and words of encouragement for the young doctors were given by Professor Tashenova G.T., MD, Head of the N.A. Barlybayeva Department of Pediatric Diseases at Asfendiyarov KazNMU, and Professor Seidalin A.A., MD, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Clinical Work at KRMU.

Intern doctors and residents presented their first research studies. While these were modest applied research projects, they represented the participants' first steps into scientific inquiry. Presentations by resident and intern doctors from NCPPS, KazNMU, M. Ospanov West Kazakhstan Medical University, Karaganda Medical University, and Kazakhstan-Russian Medical University were heard and discussed.

Participants then tested their knowledge in a quiz covering various fields of science. Three winners were recognized for giving the most accurate and fastest answers:

1st place – Malikov Khavasbek Turgunbaiuly (resident, Asfendiyarov KazNMU)
2nd place – Shykhyeva Madina Allamuratkyzy (resident, NCPPS)
3rd place – Toktarkyzy Aigerim (resident, NCPPS)

We hope that such joint events will help bring young specialists together and create a platform for future collaborative projects.

Science Day symbolizes the nation's intellectual potential, the advancement of science, recognition of scientists' contributions, and support for young researchers.
