November 20, 1989 - the day of signing the Convention on the Rights of the Child by the UN General Assembly. The Convention on the Rights of the Child was also the first international treaty ratified by the government of independent Kazakhstan in 1994. This year, World Children's Day will be held in a special way in all countries of the world. UNICEF, together with various partners, will hold a rally under the slogan "Children at the helm".
The Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery joined this unique global event. The center conducted psychological training.
The event was attended by children of different ages undergoing treatment at the Center. The training was conducted by the psychologist of the center Nusipzhanova Gulzhamila. The training was held in a colloquial manner, the children drew, shared their interests, their dreams and goals. They also organized an exhibition of fakes, which they prepared by their own hands. During the training, the staff of the center conducted a master class on modeling crafts made of colored balls. Children have learned to make flowers, a dog, a swan, a sword, a butterfly, etc.
We learned from each child what he wants to become in the future, what profession attracts him more. One said that he dreams of becoming a pilot, the second - a teacher, and others are a doctor, an architect, a programmer. Participant of the event, 7-year-old Dilyara said: "When I grow up, I will be a doctor. I want that no child in the world is sick! ". At the end of the event, parents expressed their wishes and gratitude to the center's management and doctors.
According to the psychologist of the scientific center G. Nusipzhanova, psychological trainings give a positive mood to children, give for a time to forget about the illness, increase interest in life.
In the Center, more than 6,000 children receive the necessary medical care at a high level every year. In the center there are 16 departments - surgery, urology, neonatology and neonatal surgery, oncology and hematology, gastroenterology and complicated somatics, pulmonology, cardiorheumatology, children's cardiosurgery and interventional cardiology department, which treats congenital malformations, blood diseases, malignant neoplasms, organ diseases respiration and digestion, hereditary diseases and other childhood illnesses.
