On the eve of the city of Astana, the winners of the national project "100 New Persons of Kazakhstan" were gathered. For candidacies in the online mode, 1.5 million citizens voted. As a result, 102 winners were chosen - people from different regions, ages and nationalities, who achieved success during the years of the country's independence. The project participants came from all over the country to tell the Head of State about their achievements in work, creativity and life.

After acquainting himself with the success stories of some project participants, the President of Kazakhstan noted the importance of personal development of the people of Kazakhstan.

The project "100 New Persons of Kazakhstan" is a story of 100 specific people from different regions, different ages and nationalities who have succeeded in these fast-moving years. It was created on the proposal of Nursultan Nazarbayev. The project is focused on solving three problems: to show society the real face of those who create modern Kazakhstan with their minds, hands and talent. The second is to create a new multimedia platform for informational support and popularization of our outstanding contemporaries. And the third is to create not only national, but also regional projects "100 new faces".

 
The children's cardiac surgeon, cardiosurgery and interventional cardiology department of the Scientific Center for Pediatrics and Children's Surgery Gulzhan Sarsenbaeva became the winner of the national project. "To be among the hundred new faces is first and foremost the result of a lot of work. The department annually conducts more than 500 operations, with my participation, 1000 open heart surgery and vessels were performed to newborn children and children not exceeding and 10 kilograms of weight. The life of small patients is in our hands. This is a complex and responsible work. But, when a person loves his work, this gives him some energy. To date, the biggest success for me is to see healthy and strong kids who were once doomed. And the most important thing is to see the happy eyes of parents, "G. Sarsenbayeva said.

Our reference: Sarsenbaeva Gulzhan Iskandirovna is one of the few cardiosurgeons who owns ultrasound diagnostics of heart defects, which helps her to see the pathology of the heart before the operation, during the operation and after the operation.

In 2000 she graduated from the Kazakh State Medical University named after S. Asfendiyarov with a specialization in pediatrics. After graduating from the University in 2001, she took part in the organization and opening of the first center of surgery for newborns as a neonatal surgeon on the basis of the Scientific Center for Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery, which currently provides specialized medical care for newborns with surgical pathology. At this time in the republic the issue of surgical correction of heart defects was acute.

In 2005-2008, as part of the Bolashak program, she was a practicing physician and was trained in the postgraduate course in the specialization of pediatric cardiosurgery in the leading cardiosurgical clinic named after Bakuleva of Russia, Moscow, on the basis of the department of reconstructive surgery of newborns and children of the first year of life. Here she successfully defended her thesis on the topic "Evaluation of neurological disorders in children after cardiac surgery", with the award of a degree of candidate of medical sciences in the specialty of cardiovascular surgery. Her documentation on the dissertation work was one of the model in the clinic.

After returning to Kazakhstan, since 2009, her practical and scientific activities have been aimed at providing medical assistance to newborns and children with cardiac pathology.

Since 2011, she participated in the organization of a cardiosurgery department on the basis of the pediatric center. In 2012, she opened a department of pediatric cardiosurgery and interventional cardiology as the head of the department. There are consultations over 1000 children with complaints about the pathology of the heart and blood vessels. On the basis of the department there are master classes with cardiosurgeons from Italy, Ukraine, Poland, Turkey. Specialists of foreign clinics give a good evaluation of the work of our team.

Sarsenbaeva G.I. passed additional training in medical centers in Russia, Poland, Ukraine. Annually takes part in international conferences on cardiac surgery and cardiology, master classes with the participation of specialists from Italy, Poland, Korea, Ukraine.

She passed an internship at the Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery in Kiev, in the Cardiology Department of the Children's City Clinical Hospital in St. Petersburg.

He is the author of more than 50 publications in domestic journals and foreign publications. The sphere of professional interests is surgery of congenital heart defects in children, neonatal cardiosurgery and cardiology, ultrasound of the heart and blood vessels.

She took an active part in the charitable project "House of Mercy" under the leadership of Aruzhan Sain. Within the framework of the project, she went to maternity hospitals on charity and provided counseling to newborns with critical heart defects and organized a referral to leading foreign clinics.

In addition to practical activities, she took part in the scientific technical program on studying the health of children in the republic, teaching as residents of cardiology as a clinical mentor.

Constantly travels to the regions with master classes on diagnostics and therapy of congenital heart diseases in order to provide counseling, improve the skills of regional specialists, and improve the quality of medical care. He is the curator of the South Kazakhstan region in pediatrics.
