The department provides highly qualified assistance to children older than 1 month to 18 years old, who are in critical and terminal conditions with surgical, urological, complex somatic pathology.
Intensive therapy is carried out in accordance with world standards for such nosologies as: Hirschsprung's disease, portal hypertension, bronchiectasis, biliary atresia, conditions after plastic surgery of the esophagus, hydronephrosis, vesicoureteral reflux, pelvis-scrotal system, combined with chronic renal failure, cystic fibrosis, children with severe protein-energy malnutrition, genetic diseases, and many others. Anesthesiological assistance is provided when performing operations of any degree of complexity, the risk of anesthesia is assessed according to the standards of the international classification of anesthesia.
The department also provides anesthetic support for minimally invasive interventions: bronchoscopy, bronchography, colonoscopy, FEGDS, bougienage of the esophagus, in the CT room, MRI. More than 2,000 anesthetic aids are carried out annually.
The department employs a team of highly qualified specialists consisting of 6 doctors, 12 nurses. Qualified staff provides round-the-clock monitoring of patients, owns all modern methods of anesthesia and postoperative rehabilitation. Modern methods of treatment and new methods of anesthesia are being introduced. Methods of extracorporeal detoxification are widely used: hemodialysis, hemofiltration, therapeutic plasma exchange and plasmapheresis.
The doctors of the department actively conduct teleconsultations, telelectures in the regions of Kazakhstan.
