The Department of Surgery consist of 20 beds, where diagnostics and surgical treatment of children with malignant and benign neoplasms is carried out and is also a clinical and scientific foundation for the training of pediatric oncologists and surgeons.

The main principles of the work of the department are the highest professionalism, mercy and respect for the personality and rights of the patient. The doctors of the department have been trained in leading clinics in Germany, England, Russia, etc.

The department performs various types of open and minimally invasive surgical operations for malignant and benign tumors in children, using modern anesthetic and surgical equipment, as well as modern medical technologies. Organ-preserving surgeries are performed, such as resection of tumors of the kidney, liver, soft tissues, as well as arthroplasty of large modular joints in case of bone tumors with preservation of the limb affected by the tumor, which in turn reduces disability and improves the quality of patients life.

Children with one of the parents are accommodated mainly in 1-2-bed comfortable wards.

Simultaneously with treatment, children can engage in creativity by the guidance of a teacher in a specially equipped playroom. Organized educational and entertainment programs. Through the efforts of a clinical psychologist and volunteers, psychological support is provided to patients and their relatives.

The powerful clinical and diagnostic foundation available at the center and it possible to perform almost all the necessary studies and monitor the effectiveness of therapy.

There is a multidisciplinary team for discussing children with oncological diseases, which includes leading narrow specialists: oncologists, oncohematologists, surgeons, urologists, pathologists, anesthesiologist-resuscitators, specialists in radiation diagnostics and laboratory services.
